Public Engagement

We are excited to share our passion for science and connect with you through a variety of engaging activities.

Join us, for example at the annual Cambridge Festival or Big Biology Day, as we explore, learn, and celebrate the wonders of science together!

If you're unable to attend, don't worry! We have games that are available online.

Learn how MHC-I molecules work! This card game is designed to illustrate how our body's defence system can look inside cells to detect pathogens or cancer cells.

Can you find all the germs hiding inside the cells?

Events

With nearly 1000 visitors, the 2026 Family Day at the Department of Pathology was a great success!

This year, we organised our first Neurospicy 🌶️ Science 🧬 Hour 🕘. This allows children and families to experience the activities we host at Pathology during the Family Day in a calmer, more predictable environment. It is all about making science accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

We also hosted a Game Room 🎮 where participants could relax in our beanbag corner and play The Infection Game.
